The BEGINNINGS

Although the liking and the first contacts were being pronounced in the middle of 1,935, the official data by which we were guided, or in press or kept documents verifiable, they make us locate to us in day 27 of November of 1.935. Date in which a group of people formally constitutes the first sport organization with the purpose of organizing flat racing in the modality of trotting and flan races, which had like scene the Mahonés Stage.

In this date the organization with the name of "Equestrian Society Mahonesa" is constituted, approved by the Delegate of effective Menorca and as of that same day.

A new legislation on sport organizations it appears at the end of 1,953, forcing to register the Society in the Secretary General of Sports of the Movement. All it leads to a new regulation and statutes. Then it is chosen to change the name of the organization, happening to denominate EQUESTRIAN SOCIETY "Amigos del Noble Bruto", being constituted with this new name the day 30de June of 1,954, approved by the National Delegation of Sports and registered in the National Federation of Equestrian.

History cronologica

The 5 of January of 1,936 is celebrated the first official day under the trusteeship of just legalized "Equestrian Society Mahonesa". In the middle of that year the races when exploding become paralyzed the Spanish Civil War.

In 1.939 a new day's work begins, were difficult times and a new liking recovers by which the first group of promoters of the equestrian one in Mahón had fought laboriously. Meetings are organized until end of year 1.953. Let us remember that always in the scene of the "Stadium Mahonés", later call "Mahonés Stage".

From 1,954 it is the Equestrian Society Amigos Del Noble Bruto who organizes meetings, to the supervisory celebrations of Ntra. Mrs. De Gracia of year 1.966.

As of this date, the activity decays and meetings with smaller assiduity are held, lapsus will extend until year 1.972.

That year 1,972, the liking and the activity resurges again with force. This happened the 16 of March of the mentioned year. Horses of better category than in preceding years concerned themselves and the level of the races would improve substantially.

No longer it was possible to be had the small track of the Mahonés Stage reason why the Consistorio Mahonés yielded situated lands to us in the highway of San Luis, in who the partners constructed the present race course.

The inauguration of the new Municipal Race course was day 9 of September of 1,973, with a track of 630 mts of cord and 15 mts of wide.

The MUNICIPAL HIPODROMO And EQUESTRIAN SOCIETY AMIGOS DEL NOBLE BRUTO (S.H.A.N.B.)

It will be from the inauguration of the new Municipal Race course when the S.H.A.N.B. advances with firm step in the promotion of the races and the pick up of partners and new fans.

From 1,974 the attendance from public to the equestrian enclosure is numerous, remembering that in many occasions saw the full launching slip until the flag.

They were times in where the races were devoted completely. They were continued acquiring horses, some of great quality, mainly French, by which strong sums of money were paid. The Equestrian Society has come maintaining from those years, increasing little by little the number of unit and the quality of the horses.
